This record is not contained in the main document because I find it highly suspect in several areas - not least, Guilford County did not exist in 1758, nor had the first Poe arrived in NC. I can find no other corroboration for a William Poe with the initial E, especially who would have been born around 1728 and had a son named John born in 1758. Other research into the John Poe who married Mary Newman does not bear out any of these details.
