Hi Don, Thanks for the reply. Just some quick thoughts. (I'm leaving town for vacation.) >>Senor John Auld and Elizabeth Scurlock, with Elizabeth being the daughter of Major Mial Scurlock Sr. and Sarah Howard.<< I don't have Elizabeth Scurlock's birthdate...so pending what I have, I have temporarily? hooked her to Mial's FIRST wife who was also a Sarah. >>Sen John Auld's parents were Major James I Auld Esquire and Rosanna Piper.< I wonder if a picture exists in Raleigh of John Auld, since he was a senator? Rosanna Piper was married again and her name was Goldborough. She died in Anson Co, NC in 1792. (I haven't proved that yet myself but believe it to be true). As for the Dodson's....They were in Richmond Co, VA and in Chatham Co, NC....so if you ever find a connection let me know. Thought this might get you started :) Will:(Will Book 2, pp.95-96, Richmond Co.,Va.): "In the name of God amen.
