James Thomas Poe (1829-1913)
Son of Calvin Poe (1805 NC – 1883 AR) and Mary Ann Willingham
(1805 Augusta, GA) – 1847 AL
Calvin Poe was said to be the son of a “John
Poe of English Descent” (see note below). To date no clear evidence has
surfaced to place Calvin Poe’s lineage. He lived in proximity in AL and AR to
descendants of Simon Poe SR (1707-1793).
