LAST
WILL AND TESTAMENT
In the name
of God, Amen.
I,
William T. Poe of the County of Grant and the State of Arkansas, being of sound
mind and memory do make and publish this my hot will and testament, hereby
revoking all other will by me at any time heretofore made.
And
first of all I commend my mortal body to him that gave it, and my body to the
earth to be buried by my executors hereinafter mentioned. And as for my worldly
affairs real or personal of which I shall die seized or possessed, with or to
which I may be entitled to at the time of deceased, I devise and bequeath as
follows:
I will
that all my just debts be paid out of my effects and all my funeral expenses.
And I
will that my beloved wife, Mary H. Poe, have one hundred dollars in money and
all clothes and bedding on hand, it being near the amount she had "when we
married, and also with that she shall share equal with the remainder of my
lawful heirs after my just debts is all paid, but she shall have her part in
money or as she shall choose. And I also will that my two sons, Harris Fagan
Poe and Joseph M. Poe have all the land that I may die possessed with in
Township 4, Section 14, Range 14, to be kept or sold for the purpose of raising
and educating them, the said Harris F. and Joseph M.
Poe. I also will that they have a fine education and what the rent or interest
in my land lacks that it shall be paid out of' the remainder of my effects. And
I also will that my two sons Harris F. Poe and Joseph M. Poe have $50.00 over a
shear of my other children. And I then will that Martha E. Poe Worthen, Marian
Jane Paralee Poe Cobb, William Elkin Poe, Mary Almina
Poe Bennett and Harris F. Poe and Joseph M. Poe shear equal with the remainder
of my effects both real and personal by sale or otherwise as my executors may
think best. And I also will that my executors pay over my beloved wife shear as
may be collected by my executors.
And last
of all I will that my son William Elkin Poe and Samuel R. Cobb be my sole
executors to execute this my last will and testament.

Since I wrote
the above will there has been another child born at my house, Della Mae Poe. It
is my wish and desire that she have a equal shear
with my other children and I so will and devise it.
