My name is Nelson Wayne Poe. I was born 7-16-1948 to William Nelson Poe and Flora Moore. 
By the way there is a cherokee  woman on my mother's side at the same generation as Soloman and Nancy. 
I Nelson Wayne Poe had Black hair, dark brown eyes and dark completion until my 60s
My brother is Gary Thomas Poe, sisters Nevarrah Mae Poe King and Deborah Kay Poe Streetman.
My father had an earlier family; 
William Edgar Poe died at age 2, Raymond Poe buried at Hanover, Coosa County AL, 
Virgil Poe buried at Talladega AL, Virgil was a 3 war veteran WWII Korea and Vietnam and a prisoner of war by the Germans in WWII. 
I Nelson Wayne Poe am a 100% disabled Vietnam era Vet. 
My half sisters was Wilma  Poe Prince buried Slycauga AL and Lucille Poe Whithead buried by William Edgar Poe in Slycauga AL.
My father does not remember EC Poe as William Nelson Poe was born March 1, 1895 in Harpersville AL,William Nelson had Black hair 
and dark complected in his younger years, his father was William Madison Poe, born 1866 and my grand mother Emma Lee Linton Poe died at my father's birth. 
We have no record of her except marriage license in Talladega AL. William Madison and his brother J Thomas Poe are buried in Clay County AL 
between Ashland and Lineville. 
My father's brother's were Arron Thomas Poe buried in Anniston AL and EC (Lum) Poe, named for his grandfather. Lum is buried in Texas.
My father does remember Tempe, EC's wife. He remembers riding a train to Chandler's springs, Clay County AL, close to Talladega County line, 
to visit his grandmother. My father also remembers riding in a wagon to Poe/Green Cem to burials of family members one being Mandy Poe. 
There are some Poes buried at Chandler's springs, one being a JC Poe. I have no idea the relationship. 
There is a mountain in Clay County AL named Poe bridge mountian. It can be seen from AL Hwy 77 outside of Ashland toward toward Chandler's Springs. 
I have no proof as to how it was named.
My father became interested in his family in his 90's as he did not know EC was his grandfather, this is intersting to me because his brother was named EC.
In my quest to find my father's grandfather I and my brother Gary went to Poe Bend area and spoke to many Poes older than me. 
They had a family story that the Poes were traveling West from Georgia and the woods caught fire overcoming an elder Poe, maybe Stephen, 
and after looking around they decided to stay in the Poe Bend area of the Coosa River area. Another family story was there were 3 Poe brothers that 
came on a ship to America.
 For a long time I thought Stephen was Solomon's father but I always thought he was too old. Glad to know Edmond/Edmund his Solomon's father.
I am learning that reading it on internet does not make it the truth. Example: saw on internet that a Randolph  County AL person, where I now live 
close to Talapoosa River, was looking for any people kin to Solomom and Nancy Cassel Poe. So now I know people get their information incorrect 
because they remember incorrectly fax their family told them. 
My sister Deborah has a son with William in his name and I (Nelson Wayne Poe) have a grandson named William seth Poe.
