William….. From the census records I have seen on Thomas Poe I believe he was born between 1760-1765..Thomas appears on the 1810 Census in Logan Co… Later on when Logan County became Todd Co he was on the 1820, 1830 & 1840 Todd Census’s in Elkton.. I have found a Thomas Poe on the records of the war of 1812 and the Rev War… I have no idea if this is the same Thomas Poe..

His sons are on the 1850 Census with birth places of North Carolina as Thomas died somewhere after 1843… So I can not definitely say Thomas was born in Nc..The only document that could be found on Thomas was a legal document in which he dissolved himself of any debts incurred from son Wyatt in 1843..And I nor Lillian has been to the Poe /Stinnet Cemetery..to view the stone of the Thomas Poe which is posted on the Todd CO site..There are other “Poe’” cemeteries in the Logan/Todd county areas that need to be searched….

STINNETT / POE Cemetery
On Highland Lick Rd across the road from the
N.Todd Water Plant in a grove of trees.
A small cem with a wall around it.

The wall stones have fallen into the burial area and we were not able to find any stones with writing inside the wall.  Possibly STINNETTs are buried there.

Outside the wall:

T. POE

Two small children's graves are surrounding by a small wall.

William POW 1829
