"x Samuell Randall the younger of the City of Corke merchant and Mary his wife the Daughter of Thomas Pope late of Bristoll merchant deceased send Greeting Whereas an Estate In Virginia called Nettle patch plantation at the mouth of Popes Creek in the County of Westmorland containing five hundred acres of land or thereabouts with a parcell of negroes and buildings thereon is descended to the said Mary Randall als Pope and for a Certain Consideration in hand paid the Land Negroes and Buildings thereon were let to Lewis Merchant late of Virginia deceased until the said Mary should come to age or be marryed. Now know ye (that) we the said Samuel Randall and Mary Randall als Pope (his wife) reposeing special Trust and Confidence in our Loving kinsman Thomas Wiles of Bristoll merchant have made ordained Constituted and appointed and by those presents do make ordain Constituted and in our place and steed put and authorise the said Thomas Wiles our true and lawfull attorney for us in our name and to our use by himself or such other parson or persons as he shall think fit to substitute and appoint to Enter into and upon the said lands buildings and Improvements thereof or otherwise and to take possession thereof and of the said negroes and being thereof so possessed for us in our name. and to our use to sell and Dispose of the said land negroes and Improvemente x x x "
