Daniel Huff/Hough and Ann his wife, sell to Thomas Chapman,
land the was a grant from Earl of Granville, to John Jones, in Orange Co, (now
Chatham Co.)
on both sides of the S. fork of Rocky River and both sides of William Cox's
path. (Doesn't say how much the land cost)
250 acres recorded in Deed Bk. B, pg. 202, and from
the sd John Jones by his deed dated Oct. 9, 1760, to George Mauch, recorded in
Orange Co., Bk. F, pg. 10, and by George Mauck and Eliza, his wife sold to the
above named Daniel Hough and recorded in Orange Co., deed Bk. A, No. 1, pg. 228
and since then the sd Daniel Hough hath since, sold 50 acres (part of
the above 250 acres) unto William Henton/Hinton. (The total acreage now
being sold to Thomas Chapman being 200 acres.
