Kristy,
I found the following on ancestry.com message boards and I think there is some information on Seth Thornton and wife Nancy Poe in the family tree part.

By the way, are you from Bradford? I was and my mother still lives there? I knew we were kin to some Lowrys so you must be one of them!

Submitter: Anne Sloan
Subject: Poe, Straughan, Dismukes, Horton, Thornton
Message: I am looking for more information about Reuben Poe born about 1764. He appears in Chatham Co. records in 1790 with land purchase from Simon Poe. His children include: Nancy m. Seth Thornton about 1812, Elisha m. a daughter of George Dismukes about 1812, Joseph, a daughter m. to Joel Horton, Elizabeth m. Wiley B. Straughan, a daughter m. to Crispen Straughan, Ransom m. to Anna Dismukes (I think). Reuben died in 1832. There is a second Reuben Poe who died in 1840s with a son named Clarence.

I think you are correct about Wiley's wife. In 1836, Ransom C., Joseph, and Elisha Poe along with Seth Thornton (m. Nancy Poe), Joel Horton, and Crispen Straughan sold the property of Reuben Poe to Wiley B. Straughan. I think Elizabeth might be one of Reuben's daughters.
