Hello, my name is Peter Liu. I am married to Gail Elizabeth Poe.

I found you name/address at Mindspring/Poe Family Research.

 

I am trying to track the ancestors of my wife, as a project for our son, Gene.

 

So far, what I have been able to find (in summary) is:

 

Gail Elizabeth Poe -> Francis Eugene Poe -> George Leslie Poe -> Bert Poe -> John Hill Poe -> Samuel P Poe -> Hasten Poe -> Samuel Poe.

 

I am stuck at Samuel Poe (1750-1817)

 

I have tried researching some other names/relatives that I have come across but no luck. The other leads that I have been trying are Charles Poe – Executive Editor, Chattanoogan; Dr. Floyd Poe – Presbyterian Minister; and Helen Poe – Travel Agency Operator, Dallas, TX. The previous information was provided by John Wilson, Hamilton County Historian.

 

Any leads would be greatly appreciated by our family.

 

I am also attaching a picture that shows the back of a photograph with the notations of the following names Bert Poe and Mrs. John Hill Poe, the date is 1930.
